Flowers 1 zeigt einen Blumenstrauss, in einer dunklen Keramikvase vor blauem Hintergrund. Ein Luftzug streift sanft durch die Blumen, ein Sommerbild, ein Stilleben leicht und bunt. Sobald die Besucherinnen und Besucher vor der Projektion verweilen, lösen sie (via Sensoren) die Videosequenzen der explodierenden Vase aus. Die Explosion der Vase und des Blumenstrausses, in slow-motion, zeigt die Umkehrung der Schönheit zur Aesthetik der Zerstörung und ein Auflösen in Farbflächen.

Flowers I shows a bunch of flowers in a dark vase in front of a blue background. A draught gently moves the flowers, like in a summer vision, creating a light and colourful still life. As soon as the visitors come closer to the video projection, they trigger (via sensors) the video sequence of the vase exploding. The explosion flowers Iof the vase and the bunch of flowers, prensented in slow motion, depicts the reversal of beauty into the aesthetics of destruction. A dissolution into patches of colour and it shows the changes and mixture of nature and artificiality.
