My body is the intention, my body is the event, my body is the result, as Brus programmatically formulated it at the beginning of his radical body art. It is an approach that is taken up by artists of the young generation like Karin Fisslthaler. In her video Tesa Film (2003) she distorts her own face by covering it with strips of sticky tape until it becomes unrecognizable, subsequently letting the portrait newly emerge by slowly removing the strips .
