Die zwei Videos GENDER TRANSMISSION WO:MAN #1 und GENDER TRANSMISSION WO:MAN #2 hinterfragen die Beziehung und die Grenzen zwischen Mann und Frau in philosophischer und psychologischer Hinsicht. Wie in Jacques Lacans psychologischer Theorie dargelegt, spiegeln Frauen und Männer sich selbst in Form des ‚Anderen‘ wider. Durch den Entwurf zweier Spiegel im Video gleicht die Situation einem echten Spiegel, in dem Mann und Frau miteinander konfrontiert werden. Es gibt stets eine Oberfläche, eine Form der Interaktion, die hier als digitaler Code entworfen wird. Was bleibt ist eine imaginäre Form, deren Bedeutung nicht durch die Form selbst gebildet wird, sondern durch die Gesellschaft in der wir leben.

These two videos, GENDER TRANSMISSION WO:MAN #1 und GENDER TRANSMISSION WO:MAN #2, question the relation and boundaries between man and woman in a philosophic and psychological manner. In the psychological theory of Jacques Lacan woman and man mirror themselves in terms of 'the Other' which is aimed to be visualized in this video installation. By establishing two mirrors through video the situation resembles a real mirror where man and woman are confronted to each other. There is always a surface, a form of interaction constructed here through a digital code. But what will remain is always an imaginary form whose meanings are constructed not through the form itself but by the society in which we are living.
