Odessa (Trailer)

Odessa entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit Matteo Fraterno.

Das ukrainische Kreuzfahrtsschiff Odessa lag sieben Jahre im Hafen von Neapel, vertäut außerhalb des militärischen Sperrgebietes. An Bord der Odessa, die nur auf dem Wasserweg erreichbar war, lebten außer dem Kapitän noch ein Offizier und sieben Matrosen. Derart trotzten sie dem Schicksal, das sie durch in rasanter Abfolge eintretende Ereignisse ereilte: Der Zerfall der Sowjetunion und der Bankrott ihrer Schiffahrtsgesellschaft.

For more than seven years, the Ukrainian cruiser «Odessa» has been lying at anchor in the port of Naples. It was there where the captain and his crew heard the news about the break-up of the Soviet Union, and the bankruptcy of the state-owned shipping company. Since then, the Captain and six crew members have been living on the shallow waters of the port.
