Brief an Herrn Baum

In einem imaginären Brief bedankt sich der Künstler in Demut bei einem Baum für dessen Dienste der Menschheit gegenüber. Wehmütig betont er, dass der Wert von Bäumen nur selten vollständig erkannt wird - und wenn überhaupt, dann erst nach dem Fällen in Form von Papier, Tischen, Stühlen und Häusern - und ihre prachtvolle Blüte in der Hektik des Alltags keine hinreichende Wertschätzung erfährt.

In an imaginary letter, the artist humbly thanks a tree for its service to humanity. He wistfully emphasizes that the value of trees is rarely fully recognized and if at all, then only after they have been felled into the form of paper, tables, chairs and houses – and that their magnificent blossoms receive insufficient appreciation amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
